It makes many people jobless.  People throughout the world suffer much in this epidemic. It creates the obstacles for the expansion of business, politics, economical growth, and also educational development throughout the world. Everything is standstill, though educationists are striving to uphold the education system by arranging online classes and exams throughout the world. Undoubtedly, a few challenges cannot be ignored in these Corona period in the implementation of online classes and exams in the developing countries like Bangladesh.

.
United News: Assalamualaikum, Sir. How are you?
Anisur Rahman: Walaikumus Salam. Alhamdulillah, fine. How are you?
.
United News: Alhamdulillah, fine. We came to know that in the World of Epidemic Corona Virus or Covid-19, the students are agreed to seat for the online exams. What you will say in this?
Anisur Rahman: Now, Corona Virus (COVID-19) is a pandemic epidemic disease. It makes the world standstill. We cannot ignore its terrible consequences in almost all the sectors like economic expansion, world trade, health services, and education system etc. Though it has already created a few challenges to our education system, we are trying to cope up the situation by arranging the online classes and exams according to the guidelines directed by UGC. We cannot let our students suffer the bitter experiences of session jam for this COVID-19. So like the developed countries, we are going to arrange online exams for the welfare of the students. At first it seems challenging, but now with the cooperation of our students, we have overcome those challenges; and they (students) are ready to sit online exams too.
.
United News: Are the students eager to sit for the exams?
Anisur Rahman: In fact, it’s not clear to us, when this Corona period is going to be stopped. So we have tried to figure out the present situation to our students. They have understood the fact. Then they have confirmed their positive cooperation to overcome the situation and agreed to meet the challenges. Now they are eagerly waiting to sit for exams. It really indicates the optimistic future of our students indeed.
.
United News: As the present time is the time of world epidemic, many students may face financial crisis. For this, don’t they face problem to pay the tuition fees?  What is the solution for this problem?
Anisur Rahman: Undoubtedly, we cannot ignore the fact of financial crisis of our students. Luckily, the honorable chairman of the board of trustees (BOT), Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, MP, is very much considerable in this regard. He is always a kind-hearted person to understand the problem of our students. Naturally, he is so flexible in this issue in this COVID-19 period. He says that the students should pay according to their abilities. Even, we never force any students to pay tuition, if they face any problems. If any student is unable to pay any tuition fees, they will have to inform the authority through email. All students will be considered to sit for the exams.
.
United News: What kind of instructions are provided by the UGC?
Anisur Rahman: UGC always encourages us to take online classes and exams.  It always provides us positive instructions. It never wants that students face session jam or any difficulties during their academic journey.
.
United News: What will be the method for online exams?
Anisur Rahman: Before COVID-19 attack in our country, we have finished most of our classes and in course assessment throughout the classroom activities. As we are going make the final assessment through the online exams, we are going to accomplish it through assignment, term paper, and viva-voce through online. It is designed according to the demand of different faculties by following the instructions of UGC.
.
United News: The students who are facing problems with the network how can they sit for the exams?
Anisur Rahman: We are going to arrange online exams through Zoom Cloud Meeting Apps. Besides, there are opportunity to take part in Viva-Voce through messenger or mobile phone by contracting with their respective course teachers. Students can submit their assignment through email, google classrooms or messenger too.
.
United News: The students who are not able to sit for the exams, what type of system will be applied for them?
Anisur Rahman: We are optimistic that all the students will be able to take part in the exams. If anyone misses the exams, he/she will be able to take part in the exams in future without any financial punishment.
.
United News: What are the message for the students from you?
Anisur Rahman: I expect all students will take part in the exams. We have arranged online exams for the betterment of the students. We expect that they won’t miss   their valuable time. They are ready to make the proper use of time. We also believe that with the positive cooperation of our students, DIU will go ahead.
