RANGPUR: The district court fixed February 28 for delivering verdict in a case filed over killing a Japanese national Kunio Hoshi.

Rangpur Special Court Judge Noresh Chandra Sarker fixed the date after concluding hearing arguments of the prosecution and defence lawyers in the case on Sunday afternoon.

Kunio Hoshi was shot dead by assailants at Aluwari village in Kaunia upazila of Rangpur on October 3, 2015.

Later a case was filed against eight Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) men on July 3 last year.
